Roma VF tomato seeds produce a tangy, meaty flavor that makes them a favorite for tomato paste, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato sauces, and stews. Roma VF tomato seeds were originally bred in the 1950’s specifically for resistance to Verticillium wilt and Fusarium wilt (VF). They are among the best Roma tomato seeds for growing plum tomatoes in containers because of their determinate growth habit.

Roma VF is the most common roma tomato sold in the US. Roma VF Tomatoes are the classic “sauce” tomato and are great for canning. The Roma VF Tomato vines are determinate and fruit heavily. Medium sized fruit. Great for making tomato paste. Plant Roma VF Tomato Seeds in a sunny spot and enjoy a heavy-bearing harvest.
Started indoors about 6-8 weeks prior to final spring frost. Plant 2-3 seeds 1/4″ deep per cell in fertile, humusy, and well-drained soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8.
